Object
To move all the cards to the foundations.
Layout and play
The base cards, all of the same rank, vary with each game, and are the three cards dealt to the first three foundations and
the card dealt to the bottom of the first tableau column.
At game start, three cards are dealt to the first three piles at the right and become the base cards for the first three foundations.
Besides, the fourth base card, called "penguin" or "Beak", is dealt to the bottom of the first tableau column.
Foundations (4 piles)
Build in ascending sequence and in suit (for example, a Q on a J ) from the rank of the base card to the rank immediately below the rank of the base card until each pile has been completed with 13 cards.
Ranks are continuous: an Ace can be played on a King.
Tableau (7 columns of 7 cards each)
Build in descending sequence and in suit (for example, a 4 on a 5 ).
Ranks are continuous: a King can be played on an Ace.
The top card of each column can be played on the foundations, on another tableau column or on the reserve.
A sequence can be played, either in whole or in part, on another tableau column.
Spaces can be filled with cards or sequences from other tableau columns or with cards from the reserve.
In any case, the single card or the first card of the sequence must be one rank lower than the base card.
Reserve (7 piles, called "Flipper")
The single card of each pile can be played on the foundations or on the tableau.
Spaces can be filled with cards from tableau columns.
